Fabrik: how to get home at dawn
Fabrik is in Humanes, 25 km from Madrid, and public transport back is limited. The real options for getting home at seven in the morning.

Fabrik is not in Madrid. It is in Humanes de Madrid, some 25 kilometres from the centre, on an industrial estate. That is part of why it can be the size it is and sound the way it does — and also why the journey home deserves thinking about before you set out.
The problem is the return
Getting there is easy: you leave home at a civilised hour, phone charged, head clear.
Getting back is at six, seven or eight in the morning, tired, phone at 4%, with a lot of people leaving at once from a place where no taxis are cruising past.
That is what needs solving before you go in.
The options
Event coaches. Large sessions usually have chartered services leaving from set points in Madrid. Cheapest and it works, but you buy in advance, you leave when the coach leaves rather than when you want, and they tend to be full.
Regular public transport. Thin at that hour. Humanes has a commuter rail station, but overnight frequency is sparse and the station is not at the venue’s door. It is not a plan for six in the morning.
Your own car. The reason this is a bad idea is obvious and needs no elaboration.
Ride-hailing. Chucking-out time at Fabrik produces an enormous, very concentrated spike in demand. It is precisely the scenario where surge pricing climbs and waits stretch.
A booked taxi. The car is there at the agreed time, at the agreed point. You pay the official fare, which at that hour is Tariff 2 and does not rise because demand is high.
Why booking the return changes the night
There is a difference that is not about money: knowing the way home is settled changes how you enjoy the night. No watching for the last coach, no refreshing the app to see whether the price has dropped, no negotiating with the group about who drives.
If there are several of you, the cost per head divides and usually lands below what ride-hailing costs at peak.
How we handle it
You agree a point and an approximate time when you book. With margin: nobody leaves a session to the minute, and the normal thing is to adjust by WhatsApp once the end is in sight.
The outbound leg can be booked too, and usually is: pickup at your address and drop-off by the venue’s authorised access.
Mind the notice period. We work with a minimum of three hours’ notice and answer WhatsApp between 6:00 and 23:00. For a dawn return, that means booking it before you go in, not at six in the morning.
